@SHK, usually it's just helping out, hearing the users and their concerns, pointing out hurtful or destructive behaviour. Basically you're a public relations person, so you should have good experience with people and be quite friendly.
Other than that you do some very low kind of moderating in the form of getting information and passing it to your superiors which would be anyone higher than global OP.
It's a really nice job, and a great experience overall if you like helping people and being there for them.
@AzraelKarina, it's never too late for everything.
I'm sure they're always looking for friendly people to help out, even if it's not a job in the staff you can still give a hand here and there.
